App for Oz tax back

The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service has released a new app to make it easier for travellers to claim their tax back unde the Tourist Refund Schem (TRS).  The TRS allows travellers to claim a refund on GST and Wine Equalisation Tax (WET) on certain good bought in Australia.  Travellers can now pre-enter the details of their claim using the TRS app, which will generate a QR code to be presented at the TRS counter on departure from Australia.  They will be able to use a dedicated queue and the claim should be processed faster.
